Poland: A Thriving Film Powerhouse
Poland is on fire in the film industry! Every year, the country produces around 60 feature films and is involved in 20 to 30 international co-productions. Nestled in the heart of this rapidly growing audiovisual market, Warsaw Film School (WFS) is at the center of it all. With a deep-rooted tradition and a passionate commitment to film as both a personal and political expression, Poland offers an electrifying atmosphere for aspiring filmmakers.
Warsaw: The Epicenter of Film Education
Located in the vibrant capital of Poland, WFS thrives in a buzzing film education hub that brings together a film-focused high school, a game design high school, vocational colleges, and even a production company. We’re right in the action, surrounded by the best of Poland’s dynamic film scene!
Kino Elektronik: Your Personal Art-House Cinema
What’s even more exciting? WFS boasts its own art-house cinema, Kino Elektronik, right on campus! Originally established in 1964, this cinema has been recently revamped and is now one of the hottest spots for concerts, film festivals, special screenings, and regular theatrical events, with exclusive student rates! It’s a perfect space for you to dive deep into the world of cinema and be part of its creative pulse.
In the Heart of the City
WFS couldn’t be better located. The campus is just a short ride from Warsaw’s city center, easily accessible by subway (Dworzec Gdański station), tram (15), and bus (116), and it’s only 5 minutes by tram from the lively Praga Północ district—a creative, student-filled hub. Need some downtime? The shopping mall Arkadia is just one tram stop away. You’ll also find yourself surrounded by cozy cafes, chic shops, green parks, and iconic Corbusier architecture that make Warsaw a perfect backdrop for your student life.
Convenience Meets Comfort
On campus, we’re ready to fuel your creativity with freshly brewed coffee, sandwiches, and delicious vegan and vegetarian lunch options to keep you energized throughout your busy day.
