Dominik Mirecki, our postgraduate directing student and creator of "Son of Happiness", has returned from Karlovy Vary - but let’s take a moment to rewind to the start of this journey!
"Son of Happiness", directed by Dominik Mirecki, was selected for the prestigious Future Frames 2025 program (recommended by the Polish Film Institute) organized by European Film Promotion. Each year, this program highlights ten of the most promising young directors from across Europe. Thanks to Dominik, Poland has returned to the Future Frames program after a four-year break, which took place during the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. One of the program’s patrons is United Talent Agency.
Audience admiration, tears of emotion, and Dominik’s meetings with agents from UTA, Range Media Partners, and selectors from major festivals (including Sundance!) show just how deeply this story resonates with people.
